Like I love the idea of an apron but the neck part always bugs me and the material just doesn’t do the job when I want to wipe off my hands. So hello light bulb! Why not a kitchen towel apron? Seriously how genious right!!??
I select really heavy duty kitchen towels and use thick ribbon as the top tie to hold it all together. It gets pleated in the middle sections so it wraps nicely against your body.
Washes up so nice and always handy for big cooking or baking days.

I’m not exactly a cook or a baker—just a mom trying to get food on the table and survive the clean up. I wasn’t sure about wearing this at first (my kids definitely had a laugh), but now I love it. I think it’s a great idea to make the apron out of a real towel so that when you cook you don’t have to always use paper towels to wipe your hands. I gave them as gifts and everyone was pleased and thought it was clever and handy to use an actual towel for an apron.
