What do you get and who supplies them:
Hi there we are carpenter crossing homestead which is apart of SimplyPrettyPosies sewing services. We have chickens and ducks on our property and love sharing the goodness of our eggs
We have 8 chickens and 3 ducks and let me tell you they are SPOILED, they get to free range in our backyard and enjoy sunbathing as well as love from our kids.
We are only selling the chicken eggs but if you are interested in duck eggs let me know and I can arrange that!
Eggs will come NOT WASHED
Why is this? Eggs will naturally have a coating on them that protects them and does not allow for bacteria to get in and contaminate the egg. With that being said if you do not wash them they can stay out unrefrigerated for up to 6 weeks. You can wash them as soon as you receive them if you wish but make sure to put them in the fridge after you do so or you can wash as you eat them with warm water.
You will often see irregularities within the egg sometimes as little brown flecks or spots and these are normal :) just the confirmation of getting lots of vitamins and enriched food.
My chickens have access to herbs that I plant just for them so yes in fact spoiled!!! Reach out with any questions and I’ll be happy to help.
